Bangladesh celebrates its Independence Day every year on March 26. On 10 April 1971, the Provisional Government of Bangladesh in exile was established in Mujibnagar following the declaration of independence of East Pakistan as Bangladesh. On March 12, 1972, Indian forces completed their withdrawal from Bangladesh. Since then, India and Bangladesh have lived peacefully, side by side, together as two sovereign independent nations.

On this occasion, NatStrat brings the Special Bangladesh Edition with perspectives from leading experts on different aspects of Bangladesh and Indo-Bangladesh relations, touching upon the history and contemporary developments.
