Dr. Sulagna Chattopadhyay

Dr. Sulagna Chattopadhyay, FRGS, is a science communicator, geographer, and policy advocate with over 27 years of experience in the sector. She is the founder-editor of Geography and You, a well-accepted journo-magazine on environment and development, and the founder-member of Learning in Geography, Humanities, Technology, and Sciences (LIGHTS), an educational NGO. Furthermore, as founder president of Science and Geopolitics of Arctic and Antarctic (SaGAA), a think-tank working on the Polar realm, she has shaped national and global discourse on Polar Studies. With a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Dr. Chattopadhyay combines academic rigour with the science-policy interface, making her a unique voice in India's environmental discourse. Her enduring commitment is to create an equitable and sustainable world through inclusive knowledge systems and participatory research.
