Talal Rafi
Sri Lankan Economist, Expert Member - World Economic Forum, Consultant to EU
Talal Rafi is an economist based in Sri Lanka. He has served as a consultant to the Asian Development Bank, European Union, DAI and Shell-branded operations in Sri Lanka. He contributes as an expert columnist to the International Monetary Fund’s Public Financial Management Blog and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Expert Network. He was a Director at Ernst & Young and was a member of the Global Macroeconomic team at Deloitte. He is a Visiting lecturer on macroeconomics at Kelaniya University, and he was a board member of Sri Lanka’s state foreign policy think tank, the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute (LKI). His work has been published by the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Asian Development Bank, World Economic Forum, University of Oxford, Johns Hopkins University (SAIS Review), Columbia University, Chatham House London, and the London School of Economics.
